The Parent Portal is NOW LIVE for you to complete your Annual Data Update for your students before the Fall Check-in process begins at our school sites in advance of the 2017-18 school year. Please GO TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL WEB SITE and login through Parent Portal – the icon is located in the upper right-hand corner of the site’s home page.
We have spent considerable time updating our system over the past few weeks, and one of those updates has resulted in a minor change in the update process.
Rather that receiving an email and link alerting you that the Portal is open for you to begin your updates, you will log in directly to the Parent Portal beginning on July 1, and you will find an Online Registration link on the bottom of the column on the left-hand side of the page. You will click on that link to begin the process.
This process needs to be completed by August 4 in order for you to be prepared to go to your school site for Fall Check-In.
The following is need-to-know information about this year's process:
Immunizations: Please remember that age-appropriate immunizations are required and must be completed before the first day of school. Students without documentation of the proper immunizations records will not be allowed in class. Proof of residency: Proof of residency will not be required as part of the Fall Check-In process this year. Due to the high number of families moving into the eastern part of our community, families who have moved during the 2016-17 school year may be contacted by the district to make sure they are still living within district enrollment boundaries. If you are contacted by the school, you will need to bring in two documents to verify residency at your school site (ONE being a current mortgage receipt coupon, closing escrow papers OR rental contract with current dates AND ONE being a current utility bill (PG&E, water or homeowner or rental insurance), prior to check-in day. Schools will also perform residency checks throughout the school year.
Elementary Families (DK-5): You will be asked to provide a summary page, printed following the completion of your Annual Data Update on the Portal, as well as the Emergency/Medical Form (which requires a hard signature from a parent).
Secondary Families (6-12): You will be asked to provide only the Emergency/Medical form (which requires a hard signature from a parent).
Please note that all families will also be updating medical and emergency contact information online, but the hard copy of the form is required by the sites, in order that they would be able to access your students' emergency information in the event that computers are not functioning or there is no internet access.
Families with students at multiple sites only need to fill in the Annual Data Update once, but you will need to go to each individual school website for additional information and forms required by that site for Fall Check-In.
Information about the Fall Check-in schedule at your sites will be located on your school’s web site. You will be receiving a notification reminder in the next few weeks reminding you to begin this process. Information can also be found on your school's web site.
