Welcome back! It was wonderful seeing everyone at registration. We look forward to seeing all the students on Monday morning.
Some helpful tips and information to know for the first days of school:
Arrive early for drop-off
School begins at 8:25 for Grades 1-5 and 8:35 for K
Plan for additional traffic during the first week
Consider parking on side streets and walking in
If you live within walking distance, walk to school to help with parking congestion
Have a plan with your child for afternoon pick-up. School is dismissed at 2:00 for Grades 1-5 the entire first week.
Day 1 Information:
There will be teachers in the front of the school to direct you if you need assistance. You can verify your teacher assignment and turn in lunch money.
If you are dropping off your child in our drive through drop-off, please drive slowly and stay to the right, pull all the way forward before stopping to let your child out, and be aware of people walking.
Teachers will have class lists posted on their door or window and be out to greet the students and parents right in front of their outside door, or on the blacktop at a specified location. Teachers do not greet students in the internal hallways. Please use the main hallway to walk through the school and exit out to the blacktop to find your class. Please do not knock on classroom doors. Look for staff members with badges on if you need assistance finding your child’s classroom line up location.
Please attend the Bo-hoo/Yahoo Coffee Meet & Greet after you drop your child off. This social event will be held in the multi-purpose room and is a chance for you to meet other parents, and the school administration.
Last but not least, no play items from home such as outdoor equipment or toys, including fidget spinners, are to be brought to school. We appreciate your support.
It’s going to be a great year!
